Butte County Board welcomes 2 new members

The Butte County Board on Tuesday said goodbye to supervisors Maureen Kirk and Larry Wahl.
Kirk, who joined the board in 2006, decided not to run for re-election.
She will be replaced by Tami Ritter of Chico, who defeated two other candidates in November to win the seat.
Wahl has been on the Board of Supervisors since 2011. He lost his seat to Debra Lucero from Corning.
The Butte County Board of Supervisors could have another meeting before the year is done to talk about issuing building permits to Camp Fire victims.
Kirk and Wahl were both awarded a certificate of congressional recognition from U.S. Rep. Doug LaMalfa.
