Oroville man charged with shooting man in leg


Gunshots rang out in the early morning of Oct. 25 near Sierra Avenue in Oroville. A man was found bleeding-out from a gunshot wound to his upper leg.
Butte County Sheriff deputies descended on the scene with medics on standby. The man, who has not been identified by police, was treated with a tourniquet and then airlifted to a local hospital, according to the sheriff's department. 
Brett Toschi, 24, of Oroville was later arrested at this home.  He was found with a gun, according to authorities.
He has been charged with assault with a firearm, being a felon in possession of a firearm and being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm and ammunition. 
The bail has been set at $100,000.
The investigation is still ongoing.
