According to the victim, he was guarding the entrance to a private party when a group of five people, two women and three men, approached him and tried to get into the party.
“They looked like out-of-towners. We didn’t know them,” said Barrett Reiter, a tenant living in the house where the party was. “I only let people I know into my home. I want to make sure our parties are a safe environment for everyone.”
When they were denied entrance to the party, one of the men stabbed the victim in the leg, started a fight and then left the party in a car, according to Reiter.
A witness was able to take a picture of the license plate as the five drove away.

According to a Chico Police news release, the police were able to locate the three men about 10 p.m. the next day. The victim and witnesses identified Amarion Lang, 24, of Sacramento as the attacker.
Angelo Craver, 20, was also arrested.
Police said Craver had a concealed and loaded .40-caliber pistol. Because he is a convicted felon, Craver is not allowed to possess ammunition or firearms.
