The Butte College Board of Trustees welcomed 24 new staff and faculty at its meeting Wednesday. The new teachers were hired due to higher enrollment and recent retirements at the college.

New staff included a welding instructor and a football coach. Most departments received new faculty.

“There’s so much positive energy and excitement,” Board Member Julie Boss said. “The feedback was that it was such a gift to work here, so I think that is quite a message when people feel that when they come on board.”

Next month, the board will discuss the College Career Access Pathways Partnership Agreement with the Chico Unified School District.
