The Architectural Review and Historic Preservation Board approved two planned projects this week, clearing the way for construction.
Proposals for the Tank District Apartments and Bella’s Sports Pub were both approved.
The meeting mainly focused on the architecture of Tank District Apartments, which will be built on a lot in the new Meriam Park subdivision on East 20th Street. The board was concerned about how its design would align with neighboring buildings.
Board members praised the design for a new Bella's Sports Pub building at 231 Main St., calling it “another downtown jewel” because it will resemble buildings constructed 100 years ago.
No decision was made on a proposal for Pabbi Nord Apartments, near the intersection of Nord and Sacramento avenues.
