3 vehicle crash turns into hit-and-run

Chico police are looking for a driver who fled the scene of a three-vehicle accident Sept. 17.
One person was hurt in the crash at the intersection of Ceres and East avenues. East Avenue was temporarily closed.
According to a police report:

The vehicles involved were a Volkswagon Beetle, Ford Explorer and a GMC pickup truck with large tires, according to the Chico Police Department.
Moments after the crash, the GMC fled the scene headed eastbound on East Avenue and then southbound on Ceres Avenue.
The driver of the Volkswagon suffered some injuries as a result of the collision and was transported to a local hospital.

The identities of the Volkswagon and Ford drivers were not available from Chico police, who said they have no information about the circumstances leading up to the crash.

Witnesses are asked to call the Chico Police Department at (530)-897-4900.
