Chico Taproom gets beer and wine license

The Chico Taproom won approval for a beer and wine liquor license Tuesday at the Chico City Council meeting.

The California Department of Alcohol and Beverage Control had asked the city to review a license application for the business because of the high number of alcohol licenses in the county.

“As we reviewed the application here, we take a look at the type of license that they are requesting, which is a type 42,” said Chico police Lt. Rob Merrifield. Type 42 is an on-premises beer and wine license for bars or taverns that don't allow minors in.
