Despite the new medical marijuana laws, which allow extended use and sale of the plant, Chico stands firm on its zero tolerance zones surrounding schools which will affect downtown Chico residents.

In the city of Chico, marijuana use and sales are not allowed within 1,000 feet of a school zone.
