Man on the loose after fight over electronic devices at Chico plaza

An early morning domestic dispute was reported to police Nov. 28 after a man fought two people over a power outlet in downtown Chico.

Officers were sent to the plaza after a caller reported that a male and female were arguing. When officers arrived, two people had been assaulted by a single suspect whose name may be William, according to a police report.

Witnesses claimed that the dispute started after a disagreement involving the use of a power outlet to charge electronic devices.

The first victim said that the suspect had hit him with an alcohol bottle. The second victim said that after attempting to intervene in the dispute, he was kicked and pushed to the ground as the suspect ran off.

Police are looking for a man in his early 20s with dark hair about 6-8 inches long. He was wearing a green coat, jeans and a backpack.

The victims were treated by Butte County EMS and the Chico Fire Department. There were no life-threatening injuries.
